After suffering a fatal blow at Speedweek 2010, our faithful four-world-record-holding motor was sadly retired. At some point we'll probably use it as a development mule on the flow bench, but for now it's a fascinating, albeit heavy, piece of wall art. A brutally long, snowy, and cold Montana winter provided the team with lots of shop time. After selling half of the Fast Four Special to Chris this Spring, Pedro decided take a year off from spearheading the project.
So, the burden of the Fast Four Special fell on Chris an Tony this year. A viable block was pulled from the stockpile, and on any given day chips and sparks were seen flying from Tony's machine tools. Chris worked with Earl (Edgy) on a new head with a revised combustion chamber. Tony came up with an improved design for the bottom end, changed the oiling system, and some other crucial improvements.

A few of our remaining Fast Fours were pulled from the shed and stripped down. Three were discovered to be perfectly usable cores.
Stay tuned for the next evolution
of the Fast Four Special's engine!
Our goal... 150 MPH!

The Fast Four Special experienced some technical difficulties during break-in. The Dodge Boys were only on the salt to drink beer and help our buddy Garry "Gig" Odbert, who set two records in his rookie year in XXO/BSTR and XXO/BMGR!
Hopefully the Fast Four Special will be ready for World of Speed in September
